Dr. N.N. Tahir is assistant professor of law at University College Roosevelt in Middelburg and at Leiden University College in The Hague, the Netherlands. She is researcher at the Utrecht Centre for European Research into Family Law at Utrecht University. She has taken positions as policy and legal officer at the Dutch government, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Lagos, Nigeria and the Council of Europe, in Strasbourg, France.
